This is the version of a web page that the search engine owns and shows in its results. This version is not necessarily the one that is available at a given time on the web page.
Indeed, Google tries to have the most recent possible version of the various pages that it indexes thanks to its robot. But as long as the latter does not go back to a web page to crawl it again, it may happen, especially if the page has been modified, that this page is different from the one known to Google.
