Keyword Cannibalization
Keyword cannibalization occurs when multiple pages of your website rank for the same search query on Google and other search engines. You can use this in the form of multiple pages that have the same keywords and even a single page with several different keywords. This causes your site to show up for those searches, but not for others that are more specific.
Using too many keywords on one page will decrease your rankings because Google will try to find as many relevant pages as possible when ranking your site. The more duplicate keywords you have, the less likely it is that Google will find the most relevant ones for your site.
If you have too many identical or similar keywords spread throughout the content on your website, then you’re going to get penalized for that by Google. This is known as keyword cannibalization and it can cause a lot of problems for your site if you don’t fix it.
